The following terms and conditions apply to all of our work and we will assume acceptance by the customer upon hiring. Sadler's Electrical reserves the right to amend the following terms and conditions at any time without notice.The most recent version can be found at www.sadlerselectrical.net

1.Installation work.

a. All electrical work will comply with BS7671 and any amendment which is in force at the time of installation.

b. All electrical work will comply with applicable building regulations at the time of the installation.

c. All work will be tested, certified and notified to the local authority building control if applicable.

d. Where floor covering requires lifting for installation work underneath, there will be no extra charge. Best endeavours will be made to avoid damage and refit to an acceptable standard.

e. All endeavours will be made to work to a clean standard, using dustsheets and overshoes where required. All working areas will be hoovered if required.

f. Whilst undertaking work i the property Sadler's Electrical will require access to power and water free of charge.

g. Marshall Sadler's working hours are monday - friday 9am -5pm. Any work required out of these hours will be subject to an increased rate.

2. Exclusions

a. Clearing and /or moving of furniture and other items blocking access to working areas is not included.

b. Redecorating or making good is excluded from costs unless stated in quote.

c. Removal from site and disposal of rubble,fittings,or any other waste materials is not included.

3. Extras and variations.

a. All extras or variations must be agreed in writing prior to being carried out.

b. Any additional works may be subject to additional costs.

4. Pricing

a. The costs quoted assume continuous access to the working area .

b. All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the estimate.

5. Risk and title of goods and property.

b. The client is responsible for ensuring that the property is insured for the duration of the installation work.

6. Warranty

Sadler's Electrical offers a 6 year insurance backed warranty of installation work to be defect free from the date of certification.

7. Payments.

a. For any work over £200 a 40% deposit will be paid to secure a booking. Any deposits in excess of £500 will need to be paid via credit card.

b. The remainder of the balance will be due immediately upon satisfactory completion.

c. We accept payment via

Bank transfer, cash, credit and debit cards and cheque.

d. All payments must be cleared within 7 calendar days from the date of satisfactory completion, otherwise Sadler's Electrical reserve the right to start debt collection proceedings which may incur additional costs.

8.Personal data

a. All of our customers details will be stored securely and will not be passed on to a third party.

b. with prior permissions we will use the customers email address and /or telephone number to send useful information and tips, unless otherwise advised by the client.

c. We will not pass these details to third parties without the clients previous consent.

d. We have a legal obligation to store all of our customers details for a number of years( for HMRC and or Napit)

9. Dispute resolution

a.Sadler's Electrical aims to deliver all works to the highest possible standard.

We ask the customer to notify us within  30 calendar days , in writing from the date of certification or invoice( whichever falls first)

of any issues.

After this period the work will be deemed complete and Sadler's Electrical will accept no further liabilities, excluding issues which deviate from BS7671 and items that fall under warranty.

b. In the unlikely event of a dispute, mediation is the preferred method of resolution.

LIMITED WARRANTY AGREEMENT

This warranty is in lieu of any other warranty,  express or implied. Any implied warranties, including but not limited to,the implied warranty of merchantability ,fitness for a particular purpose,habitability.

This warranty shall be null and void and the contractor shall not be liable for any damages or expenses, if the client does not first grant the contractor access to the premises and the opportunity to inspect, correct or replace alleged defective items, before the client incurs any expense by replacement of parts or for payment of another contractor.

WHAT IS COVERED

The contractor warrants that the improvements constructed are reasonably free from defect and within customary tolerances of the construction industry.

The contractor further warrants and guarantees that the work reasonably conforms to the requirement of the contract documents, drawings, plans and specifications.

If any defects are found the contractor shall repair or replace any of the alleged defective work at its own cost.

The work to be corrected will only be the part that is deemed defective.

The contractor shall have the option of replacing the defective item.

TERM OF WARRANTY

The warranty,as well as the statute of limitations for any claim of damages for defective work or materials, is 6 years from completion

Defined as the date stated on the relevant electrical certificate and only once the project has been paid for in full by the client.

If the contractor performs warranty work within this period , the warranty shall be extended until after completion.

TRANSFERRABILITY

This warranty applies to the original client and may be transferred to any subsequent client.

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL

The contractor hereby assigns( to the extent they are assignable) and conveys to client all manufacturers and supplies warranties together with operating instructions if available.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This limited warranty does not include the following items.

Damage or defect caused by the failure to maintain any item or keep it in good working order.

Damage resulting from fire, freezing,storms, electrical malfunction or surge, lightning, earthquake, pest damage, acts of god or other unforeseen causes or accidents.

Damage from alterations, misuse or abuse by any person, ordinary wear and tear or problems cause by lack of maintenance.

Damage resulting from your failure to observe any operation instructions furnished at the time of the installation.

Any item furnished, installed or modified or repaired by you or another contractor.

Extension of any other manufacturer warranties, if any equipment supplied by the contractor becomes defective after the manufacturers warranty expires, full charges will be incurred for both labour and materials.

COMPLAINTS POLICY

We always endeavour to provide the best service and products for our customers. However, on rare occasions, we recognise that there may be times where our customers may not be completely satisfied.

To ensure we are able to put things right as soon as we can, please read our complaints procedure below and we will respond promptly to ensure complete satisfaction.

As soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out to our usual high standards.

In the unlikely event there is anything you are not completely satisfied with, please contact us as soon as you can in order that we can rectify any problems as soon as possible.
